Menatech Limited has expertise and experience utilising Rapid Prototyping Technology & 3D CNC Machining due to the many diverse and unique challenges presented by its clients and also its own internal projects.

In essence, Rapid prototyping is a set of techniques used to quickly fabricate a scale model of a concept physical part or assembly using 3D computer aided engineering (CAE) data. Construction of the part or assembly is typically achieved using 3D printing or “additive layer manufacturing” technologies. The process begins with the creation of a geometric model, normally represented as a 3D Model, the geometric model is then sliced into layers, and the layers are then represented as lines which allows the generation of a trajectory similar to a CNC machine tool path. The Rapid Prototype machine then builds up the scale model by following the trajectories whilst depositing these layers leading to a recreation of the original 3D model.

Conversely, 3D CNC Machining involves generating machining data directly from 3D solid models without the need to manufacture expensive injection or casting moulds or forged parts. The resulting parts are of high quality, accurate and can be very complex. Full scale parts can be machined relatively quickly and easily altered in an accelerated time frame.

    In-house Rapid Prototyping facilities able to manufacture football size models and prototypes in multiple materials and colours.
  • Access to a larger scale prototype development and 3D CNC Machining workshops with a range of machines and capabilities that are able to manufacture much larger scale prototypes up to a geometry scale of metres.
